We are fortunate to participate in Abu Dhabi Art at Manarat Al Saadiyat, presenting Aisha Khalid's solo exhibition. A leading figure in the neo-miniature movement, Khalid integrates Persian motifs and conceptual art to explore socio-political themes and spiritual dimensions. Inspired by mystic poets like Rumi, her work combines repetition, geometric forms, and materials like gold leaf and camouflage to create serene reflections amidst societal complexities.
Khalid, a graduate of the National College of Arts, Lahore, and the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten, Amsterdam, has received accolades including the Jameel Prize and Alice Award. Her works have been featured in global exhibitions such as the Moscow Biennale and Venice Biennale, and are housed in collections including the Aga Khan Museum and Victoria & Albert Museum. In November 2021, Khalid's retrospective "I Am And I Am Not" showcased over 70 works across venues in Karachi. She resides and works in Lahore, Pakistan.
